Sessions for Children

Childhood brings constant growth, change, and new experiences. Sessions for children are gentle, playful when appropriate, and adapted to each child’s age, temperament, and comfort.

Parents or guardians are included in the process with clarity and care. You are welcome to remain in the room, ask questions, and help create a setting in which your child feels safe and supported.

Sessions may offer space for rest, settling, body awareness, and connection.

Sessions for Teens

Adolescence can be full of change—physically, emotionally, socially, and academically. Furling Tide offers teens a respectful, low-pressure place to slow down and reconnect with their bodies.

Sessions are collaborative and consent-centered. Teens are encouraged to share what feels comfortable, ask questions, and take an active role in their care. Parent or guardian involvement is handled thoughtfully, with attention to the teen’s privacy, agency, and support needs.

Sessions for Adults

Adult sessions offer a place to pause amid the demands of work, caregiving, stress, transition, and daily life.

Craniosacral therapy and bodywork can be part of a broader routine of rest, self-awareness, and wellness. Each session begins with a conversation about what brings you in, then unfolds at a pace that feels right for you.

What to Expect

Before your session

We’ll begin with a brief conversation about what brings you in, relevant health information, and what you hope for from the session. You are always welcome to ask questions.

During your session

Sessions may include light-touch craniosacral therapy, gentle bodywork, quiet rest, and conversation as needed. You remain fully in charge of your experience: touch, positioning, pace, and communication are all guided by consent.

After your session

People’s experiences vary. You may feel rested, quiet, more aware of your body, or simply ready to return to your day. We’ll leave time to check in and discuss any practical next steps.

A consent-centered practice

Your comfort is essential.

  • You may ask questions or request changes at any point.

  • You may decline or pause touch at any time.

  • Sessions are adapted to age, access needs, and individual preferences.

  • Children and teens receive care appropriate to their developmental stage.

  • Furling Tide welcomes communication about sensory needs, boundaries, pronouns, and accessibility.
